Hi there...

I am a native of California, and like most Information Technology professionals, I followed the job opportunities, did the road warrior thing, and traveled far and wide.  Living and working in places like Spokane, Seattle, Bellingham and Milwaukee, propelled me on an amazing career trajectory that eventually lead to a engineering position with the Intel Corporation in Folsom California.  So our family continued the adventure with our relocation to Sacramento.  It was crystal clear to us that Northern California was a special place, with beautiful mountains, rivers, lakes, good schools and the nearby Pacific Ocean.

My twenty year career in IT also afforded me an opportunity to pursue a long-term goal of learning how to fly.  Early into my flight training, it was evident to me that a transition to commercial aviation, as a second career, would be challenging, but also the opportunity of a lifetime.  Now, in retrospect,  I feel fortunate to have engaged in not one, but two rewarding technical careers.

My experience with aerial mapping and photogrammetry started with piloting fixed wing aircraft for private contractors who service yearly U.S. Government data acquisition contracts.  Over the course of three years, we mapped entire states, cities, mines, agriculture, water sheds and dams using high-resolution Leica digital and LiDAR systems.  The digital imagery we acquired, was in turn, consumed by various U.S. Government and State Agencies, including, but not limited to, the U.S.D.A, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, FEMA, Microsoft and Google.

As owner and operator of DigitalFilmWorks, I am excited to bring 40 years of combined technical experience to offer advanced aerial inspection, mapping, and photogrammetry services using Small, Unmanned, Aerial Vehicle technology. This new aviation technology is a game changer, and offers a  unique set of capabilites, value and efficiencies for the survey, agriculture, construction, communications, green energy, power, mining and real estate Industries.
